A finance and technology professional with experience in accounting, auditing, and data analysis, Takilla Richards earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university in Florence, South Carolina, in 2004, followed by a master’s degree in accountancy with a focus on accounting information systems in Columbia, South Carolina, in 2012. Over the years, Takilla Richards has cultivated a versatile career across the banking and healthcare industries, where she has handled fixed asset accounting, data reporting, and systems consulting.
From 2014 to 2020, Ms. Richards held roles at a US bank and a health insurance provider, including senior IT auditor, accounting manager, finance manager, and systems analyst advisor. Her responsibilities included audit management, compliance oversight in fixed asset reporting, and financial planning support. She currently serves as a financial business information consultant, where she develops dashboards and reporting tools used in operational and strategic decision-making.
Takilla Richards holds the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation from ISACA and is a Certified Technology Business Management Administrator. She has completed leadership training through the Harvard ManageMentor program, and continues to pursue coursework in professional development. Outside of work, Ms. Richards volunteers with local food banks and has traveled to locations including the Maldives, Amsterdam, India, and Jamaica. She enjoys hiking, yoga, and painting.
